The Greenville Museum of Art features engaging exhibits from its permanent collection of 19th- and 20th-century American art, such as a superb collection of work by American landscape painters dating from the 1870s. Visitors are invited to explore the museum's six exhibition galleries featuring works by such renowned artists as Francis Speight, Sarah Blakeslee, Arthur Dove and Kenneth Noland. Located in downtown Greenville, the museum lies just two blocks west of East Carolina University.
